OCTC chorus begins spring concert rehearsals, singers welcome

The Owensboro Community and Technical College Chorus, known for its performance of fine choral literature, will begin rehearsals in preparation for a spring concert scheduled for May 6, 2019.

The rehearsals will begin on Monday, Jan. 28 at 7 p.m. in H-130 of the Humanities Building at 4800 New Hartford Road in Owensboro.

The OCTC Chorus is open to interested singers looking for a vibrant and challenging choral experience.

This community chorus was organized over thirty years ago in the spring of 1987 and continues under the direction of Dr. Connie Ford, Professor of Music and its collaborative pianist, piano instructor Angela Bruce.

The chorus consists of community members, college students and faculty and area high school age students.

The chorus has performed with the Owensboro Symphony and in various venues in the Owensboro area.

The chorus rehearses on Monday evenings at 7 p.m.
