DCHS, AHS bands continue to earn high honors

Daviess County and Apollo participated in two area high school marching band competitions on Saturday. DCHS earned top honors at both events, while AHS posted their highest score this year.

Owensboro Catholic Marching Invitational:

Daviess County earned 1st Place in Class 4A along with Best Percussion and Best Color Guard in that class. They also had a Distinguished Rating Score and earned the Grand Champion award.

Apollo received 3rd place in class 4A and 6th place overall. Apollo’s color guard was 2nd overall.

McLean County’s 40th Annual Green River Marching Band Festival:

Daviess County earned 1st Place in Class 4A along with Best Percussion and Best Color Guard in that class. They also had a Distinguished Rating Score and earned the Grand Champion award.

Apollo received 2nd place in class 4A and 3rd place overall. The color guard was again 2nd overall. The band also received their highest score of the season so far.
