The Kentucky Youth Chorale will host a patriotic musical tribute to local veterans with their “Red, White, and Blue Jeans” event on Nov. 13. The event also serves as a fundraiser for the organization.

The concert is scheduled for 6-9 p.m. at The Pearl Club (6501 Summit Drive). Tickets are $25, though veterans are admitted free with a military ID. The event also features food from The Miller House and a silent auction.

Silent auction items include handmade quilts, table runners, and wall hangings donated by Bellevue Quilter Ministry of Owensboro. Area businesses have also donated services and gift certificates that could be used for holiday gifts. Businesses that would like to support the event are encouraged to reach out to Kentucky Youth Chorale.

This is the third Red, White, and Blue Jeans concert held by KYC, and it has become one of their most popular fundraising events. A total of 200 tickets are available and can be purchased online at KentuckyYouthChorale.org.

Those who can’t attend but would like to support the event can purchase a ticket and designate it as a sponsorship of a local veteran.

Since 2008 the nonprofit, the Institute for Young Musicians has sponsored the Kentucky Youth Chorale. Students from all area schools and home schools audition for this select group, ages 8-16. The choir has performed across the country, including at Carnegie Hall as well as London and Canterbury in England and Paris, France.
