The Owensboro Catholic Marching Aces were the Class 1A Reserve Grand Champion in the Mid-States Band Association championships over the weekend. The Daviess County Band of Pride finished 6th in Class 3A.
OCHS took second out of 29 teams in the Mid-States Championship. A week prior, the March Aces won their first ever KMEA Class 1A state championship at Kroger Field in Lexington. The week before that, they won their regional competition.
DCHS competed against 10 other teams in the Mid-States Championship. The Band of Pride finished 8th in Class 4A the week prior at the state competition and also won their regional event
