Theatre Workshop of Owensboro is preparing for multiple performances of Sally Cotter and the Censored Stone. The production, performed “by young people for young people,” aims to involve the youth of the community in creative projects.

Performances will take place at The Empress Theater (418 Frederica Street) from February 24 to March 5 with Friday and Saturday shows at 7 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.

The play is a parody of Everyone’s Favorite Wizard and is sponsored by Indiana Michigan Power and the Daviess County Public Library.

Advance tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students, with a $2 surcharge for tickets purchased at the door. Tickets can be purchased by calling 270-683-5333 or online at theatreworkshop.org.

Organizers said the play “is a magical, mystical fantasy for kids, parents, and anyone with an imagination. Don’t miss this exciting production.”
