Eric Cart and Brannon Pendergraft are two local firefighters who created the disinfecting company BioClean after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The duo uses a state-of-the-art electrostatic spraying system that provides an electrostatic charge to the disinfectant, allowing it to wrap around conductive surfaces resulting in effective and even coverage. The double-charged particles envelope all conducive surfaces — shadowed, vertical and underneath.

“BioClean is a disinfection spraying company that uses a disinfectant that is safe, contains no harmful chemicals, is botanically based, and kills 99.9% of bacteria and virus,” Pendergraft said. “It is also on the EPA List N as a disinfectant that is effective against COVID-19.”

Pendergraft said as firefighters, the two locals are on the front lines of the virus and are exposed more than most people.

“We take full precautions with proper PPE, but Eric and I are huge family dads,” Pendergraft said. “Our families are why we do what we do every day. We both have small children and family members with underlying health conditions.”

They said they felt their household and community deserved the highest quality care and cleanliness to keep families and businesses as safe as possible.

“As many families like ours have longed for normalcy again, our hope is to help bring that to our community,” Pendergraft said.

The electrostatic spraying systems and botanically based disinfectant gives Owensboro a unique option for disinfecting their home or business.  The spraying system eliminates the need to wipe down doorknobs, handles, chairs, etc. after the product has been sprayed due to the technology.
