A local animal lover is bringing a 1-on-1 grooming service to Owensboro with her business Pawsitively Purrfect, allowing for a more personalized and comfortable experience for pets.
From volunteering as a board member for the Animal Shelter to starting her own animal rescue business a few years back, it is evident through all she does that Morgan Hall finds value in giving back to animals. Her grooming business is no different, as she noticed a need for a more anxiety-free grooming environment and decided to fill it.
“My dogs were injured in a salon here in town a long time ago, and they did not do well in that high-stress environment,” Hall said. “That taught me that there are some animals that need calm, quiet, 1-on-1 appointments where the focus is really on them.”
Hall says that she notices a real difference in how pets act when they are given her full attention and care, and her clients notice as well.
“I do get people who say that they don’t know how I was able to do their dog’s nails because no one has ever been able to do that, or they’ll say that their dog bites and has been kicked out of other salons,” Hall said. “It really is just a difference in the salon environment when it’s calm and stress-free.”
Even though pets are in and out of Hall’s grooming salon in 2-3 hours, she still makes the effort to form real and positive relationships with every four-pawed client that comes through her doors.
“It’s not just my job, I love them like they’re my own,” she said. “I’m really trying to focus on making them feel like they would if they were with their family. They’re loved on, it’s calm and quiet for them, and it’s not stressful.”
Hall would like to expand the outreach of her business in coming years to a certain extent, but she does not plan on sacrificing the 1-on-1 care she provides.
“My focus is not to be the biggest salon that helps the most dogs a day,” said Hall. “I’m focusing on the quality of my grooming and keeping the animals comfortable.”
