Wendell Foster is holding their 5th annual First Responders BBQ on July 20 in partnership with the Chamber Young Professionals. All local first responders are invited to attend the cookout, which includes free lunch, ice cream, yard games, and door prizes.
The event will be held in Wendell Foster’s Sensory Park at 815 Triplett Street from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
CEO Doug Hoyt said that the event began as a way for Wendell Foster to thank first responders for their work throughout the community.
“First responders serve our community each and every day. Wendell Foster is excited to have the opportunity to serve them lunch as a way to say thank you for that service,” Hoyt said.
CYP Vice Chair Jake Boswell said he is excited for the group to be able to join the event
“As young professionals, our goal is to learn as much as possible about the community we call home, work to help it grow, and keep local talent here presently and for the next generation,” Boswell said.
No reservations are required to participate in this event.
