Dog and cat owners whose pets are due for a rabies shot can get them this Wednesday with no appointment necessary. The clinic will also offer microchipping as well as bordetella and parvo/distemper shots.

The event will run from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. at Legion Park (3047 Legion Park Drive). Animals should be kept on a leash or inside a crate.

The 1-year rabies shots cost $10. The other shots and microchips cost $15 each. If the pet owner brings proof of a past rabies vaccine, their dog or cat can get a 3-year shot.

Exact payment is requested, and only cash or check will be accepted.

The clinic is being hosted through a collaboration between the Daviess County Animal Care & Control and the Green River District Health Department.

For questions, call the animal shelter at 270-685-8275.
