Bittel Heritage Meats now offers a concierge pumpkin service, delivering pumpkins and decoratively arranging them at customers’ homes. The service encompasses packages ranging from a few pumpkins and a corn stalk to more than 50 pumpkins with several corn stalks, hay bales, and mums.
To order, visit the Bittel Heritage Meats website here, select a delivery range, choose from 1 of the 4 packages, add any desired extras, and check out. There are no fees associated with delivery, and additions range from mini gourds and giant pumpkins to mums and welcome mats.
“Skip the hassle of wondering how many, what kind, what color, and which size pumpkins you need to pick for your unique porch, and let us bring them right to your doorstep,” George Bittel said.
Father-and-son duo Tony and George Bittel own Bittel Heritage Meats, working alongside one another on the family farm in Sorgho. They raise hogs and cattle and grow row crops, prioritizing keeping the community connected to locally raised resources.
They began growing and selling pumpkins in 2016, selling them alongside their pork products at the local farmers’ market. Bittel said they also sell the pumpkins at their farm stand near Bellevue Baptist Church on Daviess County’s west side, which they’ve done for a few years now.
“We want to make buying locally grown pumpkins more accessible to those with busy lifestyles across the country,” he said. “Maybe folks are looking for creative ideas to decorate for Fall, but are struggling to come up with something. We’re happy to step in.”
Bittel said they also specialize in custom business decor, understanding that most businesses don’t have a porch and have different preferences from a residence.
