The Owensboro High School academic team recently took first place in the Battle of Edgehill Quiz Bowl in Nashville.
The team is composed of Kaden Blankenship, Orion Bray, Beckett Gilmore, David Daniel, and Landon Block. This is the first time the team has won first place in a quiz bowl, and there were 16 teams competing.
Gilmore scored the highest points per game (77) for the team and was the second-highest among all competitors.
