Owensboro native and meteorologist Ron Rhodes will be the featured speaker at Thursday’s Rooster Booster breakfast.
The program begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Owensboro Convention Center (501 West Second Street) and is sponsored by Daviess County Cooperative Extension and Daviess County Farm Bureau. Register to attend here or call the Chamber office at 270-926-1860.
The program will recognize Chamber Members who have registered their business to participate in the 2023 Shop Owensboro, powered by Independence Bank. Additionally, guests will have the opportunity to get their flu shot at Rooster Booster provided by Owensboro Health.
Rhodes has been forecasting the weather on Channel 7 WTVW and Channel 25 WEHT in Evansville since 1995.
He graduated from Western Kentucky University and earned his meteorology degree from Mississippi State. Rhodes prides himself on delivering an accurate forecast and his “3 Degree Guarantee.”
Also known as the Funky Fruit Guy, Rhodes loves to showcase odd-looking fruits and vegetables that viewers grow in their gardens during his morning weathercasts.
