Glenn Family Services is again honoring veterans this Friday by providing a drive-thru lunch, handing out free meals from Old Hickory Bar-B-Q to all those who have served. This will be the 11th annual Veterans Day lunch, and the 4th year of offering the meals in a drive-thru fashion.
“It is a privilege to honor the veterans in our community as we host our 11th annual Veterans Day lunch,” said Rachael Taylor of Glenn Family Services. “Providing a meal for our friends is a small gesture of appreciation for those who have given so much.”
Meals can be picked up between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday at 900 Old Hartford Road. Visitors should enter from Old Hartford Road and come to the west side of the funeral home under the carport.
Meals will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis while supplies last. Hundreds of meals are given out each year.
