Who’s ready for more one-of-a-kind local burgers? The 2024 Owensboro Burger Week dates have been announced.
Once again the local event will last more than a week, running March 1-9. Burgers will be $7 each at local restaurants. The participating restaurants and the burgers they’ll feature won’t be announced until February.
Last year more than 34,000 burgers were sold, generating over $241,000 for local restaurants in featured burger sales alone.
Burger Week is put on by Visit Owensboro and the City of Owensboro, with help from sponsors KY Beef Council, German American Bank, Hill View Farms Meats, and Green River Appliance & Furniture.
Windy Hollow Biscuit House took home the trophy for best overall burger for their Shrimp and Grits Burger. Niko’s Bakery, J’s Good Grub, Old Hickory BBQ, and Thai Food Owensboro rounded out the top five.
For the third year in a row, Beef ‘O’ Brady’s sold the most featured burgers during Owensboro Burger Week with 3,584.
