Exotic game meats including buffalo, alligator, bear, and more will be on the menu this Saturday at Buck Creek Baptist Church’s 17th Annual Wild Game Dinner.
The dinner will be held at the church on 3788 US 431 North, with doors opening at 5 p.m. and the event starting at 6. The dinner is free to attend, but tables can be reserved/sponsored for $75 each.
Organizer Ray Toor said the event is a great opportunity for the men in the area to come together in fellowship, and also for the church to connect with the community they serve.
“It is our largest outreach event of the year. It’s a whole entire church effort,” Toor said.
Toor said other meats on the menu include deer, catfish, big sheep, rabbit, wild boar, and more. They will have sides including mac and cheese, green beans, and cornbread.
After the dinner, the floor will open for keynote speaker Gary Taylor. He is a native of Muhlenberg County who currently lives in Hanson, where he is the pastor of Olive Branch Baptist Church.
The event will also include a raffle. Guests will receive a ticket as they enter and could win a prize if their ticket is called. Door prizes include hunting items, ammunition, guns, and more.
