Maddy Nanney launched Confetti Boutique online in February 2020. Later that summer, she expanded to offer a mobile boutique, steadily growing her local and online customer base. After more exponential growth, she opened a storefront at 201 East 18th Street last month.

“I have dreamed of opening a boutique in my hometown for as long as I can remember,” Nanney said. “I wanted to bring something unique to Owensboro and a cheerful place women can shop that simply makes them feel happy.”

Confetti Boutique offers women’s clothing sizes small through 2X and occasionally 3X. The store also offers accessories and gifts.

“The clothing is vibrant, and I hope my customers feel their best in their Confetti Boutique pieces. I like to say I’m making their lives brighter one outfit at a time,” Nanney said.

The storefront is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“Our customers range in ages from 16 to 65,” she said. “My goal is for a group of women of all sizes and ages to be able to walk in and find something they love.”

“Owensboro has been so supportive of my small business, and for that, I’m so grateful,” Nanney said. “Nothing makes me happier than people saying they were referred in by a friend or keep hearing good things about the store, so they had to come to check it out. I love Owensboro and being a part of this community.”
