The 7th annual Evansville Food Truck Festival will be held at Bosse Field on Sunday, and a handful of Owensboro trucks and vendors will be among the nearly 50 options attendees can choose from.
The festival will run from 1-8 p.m. Trucks will be set up inside historic Bosse Field at 23 Don Mattingly Way. Free parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis, but general admission to the festival costs $10. Attendees are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance here.
Some of the trucks and vendors that are based on Owensboro, or make frequent appearances here, include: Acropolis Express Food Truck, Crowe’s Nest, Hello Pop, Kona Ice, Ben’s Soft Pretzels, and Jamaican Yard Vibes.
The event website says: “Indulge in the area’s top food trucks and experience a range of culinary tastes from American comfort to seafood, barbecue, desserts, and more. … The festival will include about 30 food trucks and food purveyors from the Greater Evansville area and Midwest Region, a selection of local and regional craft beer and spirits, live music, and an awards ceremony.”
Attendees can cast a vote for their favorite food truck to help determine who will be crowned the “People’s Choice Champion.” Voting is live at the festival on the Evansville Events mobile app.
In addition to food, there will be live music all day, tailgate games, and a kids’ zone that includes a petting zoo, pony rides, bouncy houses, face painting, balloon twisting, and art.
