EM Ford recently partnered with one of its insurance carriers, West Bend, to award a $10,000 grant to Cliff Hagan Boys & Girls Club. The proceeds will go toward a program that provides interactive career readiness at the nonprofit.

West Bend Insurance Company presented EM Ford with their “Spirit of the Silver Lining Award,” which honors West Bend agents and the nonprofit organizations they support “for their dedication to delivering a silver lining to those in need,” according to a release.

EM Ford’s Reisz Hayden is a former board member and volunteer at the Cliff Hagan Boys & Girls Club, which has six club locations across Butler, Daviess, Henderson, and Ohio counties. The nonprofit offers after-school and summer programming for kids and teens ages 6-18.

“The funds will be used to enhance our Teen Workforce Development program by purchasing an interactive career readiness software, Transfr. The Transfr program gives students access to over 30 career paths through an Oculus virtual headset, where Club staff are able to log their participation hours, career path interests, and provide further learning opportunities,” said Chief Operating Officer Ryan Bibb. “This is a major part of our overall Life & Workforce Readiness strategy, and we are grateful to EM Ford and West Bend for helping us continue to build great futures.”

Since 2006, West Bend has awarded over $2 million in grants for sustaining support, special projects, or capital projects to nonprofit organizations representing a broad field of interests.

“West Bend, has a proud tradition of giving back to the communities we serve,” said Rob Jacques, president. “This award is a unique program that allows us to express our gratitude to our agent partners on whom we rely on to identify the causes that matter most in our communities.”
