Amber Dennis opened Elite Risk Advisors (ERA) this past October after The Erie Insurance Group presented her with the opportunity. Erie’s presence continues to grow in the Owensboro community, and Dennis said she’s ecstatic to share more about their “best-in-class products.”
In just a few months, her client base has grown drastically, prompting her husband, Brandon, to obtain his insurance license and begin assisting her.
“Most people think of insurance as dry and boring, an abstract concept that can’t be put in a bag and carried home,” Dennis said. “Five years ago, I was in the same boat; it was a necessary evil that I didn’t quite understand. But now it’s deeply personal to me.”
Over the course of two years, Dennis’s family experienced the loss of a business and two deaths. She said they encountered both positive and less-than-desirable claims experiences during those life-altering tragedies.
“After enduring those experiences, I walked away knowing there had to be a better way to operate, and that led to me founding my agency with two goals in mind: to align my clients with the best products for their needs through education and to guide them with empathy during their most challenging times,” she said.
