About 30 artists will showcase their work in the 4th Annual Downtown Fine Art Show on Saturday, representing mediums ranging from paintings and sculptures to pottery and jewelry.
The event is hosted by the Owensboro Art Guild, with sponsorship from Fetta Specialty Pizza. Artist tents/stations will be set up along the brick path behind Fetta Pizza at 118 St. Ann Street from about 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Art Guild President Leeza Dukes said two jurists will begin judging at the start of the event and present awards at the end of the day. Top prizes are $175, $125, and $100.
Volunteers from Girls Inc. will lead children in painting on wood, rocks, and T-shirts provided by Terry’s Tees.
Blues band Beyond Blu will underscore the event throughout the day. In addition to downtown, Independence Bank’s Frederica Street location will display some works through the end of July.
