The annual Bridge Walk will take place on September 14 before the start of the Owensboro Air Show, giving the public the opportunity to walk across the Owensboro Bridge. Drivers should be aware the bridge will be closed intermittently September 12-15.
The bridge will close to traffic at 7 a.m., and the public will have access from 7:30 until noon. Participants are welcome to stroll, jog, or run across the bridge, with strollers and pets permitted. Beginning at noon, the bridge will close to the public and remain closed to traffic until the Owensboro Air Show concludes.
The bridge will be closed to vehicle traffic during the following times from September 12-15 due to the Owensboro Air Show and scheduled practice sessions:
- September 12: 12–4:30 p.m.
- September 13: 12–4:30 p.m.
- September 14: 7 a.m.–5 p.m.
- September 15: 12–5 p.m.
