Looking for a chance to take your kids camping locally? You can do just that this Friday during the Take a Kid Camping event, which includes a scavenger hunt, bingo, a campfire, and more.
Take A Kid Camping is a unique opportunity for families to tent camp at Panther Creek Park. Check-in begins at 6 p.m. on October 18 near the Feather Landing Shelter.
Children should be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times. No camping gear will be provided, so families should bring their own.
Contact the Daviess County Conservation District to pre-register at 270-685-1707 Ext. 3.
This is the third and final event of the year hosted locally by Kids Outdoor Adventures. The committee is comprised of representatives from the Conservation District, Daviess County Parks & Recreation, Daviess County Cooperative Extension Service, Kentucky Fish & Wildlife, Independence Bank, and other organizations.
