Owensboro Municipal Utilities is once again hosting its annual Holiday Lighting Contest. Participants can nominate their own homes, or neighbors can submit nominations to recognize festive displays they admire.
The contest is open to OMU customers within city limits and is judged on originality, use of light, color, design, and movement.
The contest winner will receive a $250 OMU gift certificate, a lighted yard sign to showcase their achievement, and recognition from the Owensboro City Commission and Owensboro Utility Commission.
“OMU is proud to once again host this Owensboro tradition,” said OMU Public Relations and Communications Director Sonya Dixon. “We are pleased to support the creativity and holiday spirit of our community.”
OMU is still looking for nominations.
