Emmy Woosley has been named the new executive director of the Foundation for Daviess County Public Schools following the retirement of longtime director Vicki Quisenberry.

“I am deeply honored to step into the position of Executive Director for the Daviess County Public Schools Foundation,” Woosley said. “Our schools play such a vital role in shaping the future of our community, and I look forward to working alongside our district staff, alumni, and community partners to support meaningful opportunities and resources for our students and staff.”

Woosley’s role will require her to make regular visits to schools to strengthen the partnership between schools and the Foundation.

Woosley’s duties will include working with district personnel to determine needs that fit the Foundation for DCPS mission, working with DCPS Family Resource and Youth Service Centers to evaluate requests, collaborating with district staff and schools to promote Giving Tuesday initiatives,

serving as a community liaison to share the needs of the district with the Owensboro-Daviess County community, and engaging with past alumni and potential donors to secure donations to meet the district/schools needs.

Woosley currently serves as a Project Management Consultant for the Public Life Foundation of Owensboro and as a program coordinator for the Wendell H. Ford Government Education Center.

Woosley is also the founder and chair of the Through Sleet’s Eyes Festival, an event that raised more than $225,000 for the festival’s programming. She collaborated with more than 30 organizations on local, state, and national level to put on the festival.

Woosley also invests her time as a member of Impact 100 and as the community development chair for the Chamber Young Professionals. She was awarded the 2021 Leadership Owensboro Member of the Year.

“Emmy Woosley brings incredible energy and a bold vision to her new role as Executive Director of the DCPS Foundation,” said DCPS Assistant Superintendent of Human Services Dr. Caleb York. “While she has big shoes to fill, I am confident she will take the baton and lead the Foundation to new heights in serving the students and families of Daviess County Public Schools.”
