Teaching isn’t just a job for Leslie Hall — it’s a passion. Her dedication to the profession recently earned her a spot among Kentucky’s top educators as a KET All-Star, a recognition given to teachers who go above and beyond in their classrooms and communities.

According to KET, the All-Star program recognizes outstanding educators who inspire students and contribute to their communities. As part of the initiative, Hall will collaborate with KET’s education team and fellow All-Stars to create meaningful learning opportunities and serve as an ambassador for KET’s educational efforts across Kentucky.

“I am truly honored to be named a KET All-Star and am incredibly grateful for this opportunity. I look forward to growing as an educator and serving my community through this experience,” Hall said.

Hall credits her success to the support and leadership of Daviess County Public Schools. She expressed gratitude for her colleagues at Daviess County Middle, emphasizing the teamwork that defines the school’s culture.

“I feel blessed to work in such a supportive district, and I am especially grateful for the incredible team at Daviess County Middle School. The staff and administration are exceptional, and the ‘Panther Family’ truly lives up to its name,” she said. “Everyone at DCMS plays a vital role in shaping the success and unique culture of our school. I am just one player of a larger team, and together, we work to make a meaningful impact on our students daily.”

Hall, who finds fulfillment in fostering student relationships, sees teaching as both a privilege and a responsibility.

“The students are what make this profession so rewarding. As an 8th-grade science teacher, I love building relationships with my students. Teaching offers the unique privilege — and great responsibility — of shaping young minds and empowering students to see their potential,” she said. “Even the smallest moments of encouragement can leave a lasting impact, and I am honored to be part of their journey.”

Beyond academics, Hall enjoys watching students grow as individuals.

“I love being a middle school teacher because I get to watch them grow — not just academically, but as individuals. I see them build confidence, develop resilience, and begin to shape their futures,” she said.

Hall also embraces the creativity that teaching allows, engaging students with innovative projects.

“I enjoy designing engaging projects and activities that bring science to life. Right now, my students are about to start our big ‘Shark Tank’ project, where they develop innovative solutions to human impact problems,” she said. “Every year, I am blown away by their creativity, teamwork, and work ethic — it’s a reminder of why I love what I do.”
