Owensboro will soon have a new family entertainment option with the opening of HT Mini Golf, an indoor mini golf course and arcade set to launch in the coming weeks.

Brandon Griffith, who owns a local lawn care company, is spearheading the project with help from his girlfriend, Jessica Camp. The couple, avid mini golf enthusiasts, saw a need for more family-friendly activities in the area and decided to bring their passion to life.

“We just love to play mini golf. It’s something we’ve always liked to do, and my kids love it,” Griffith said. “There’s just nothing like it in Owensboro, and I felt like it would be a great addition.”

HT Mini Golf, named after Griffith’s children, will be located at 1735 Sherm Road in Shawnee Plaza, between Price Less Foods and 270 Tactial. Griffith is currently working through the final permitting and anticipates opening within 4-6 weeks, depending on construction progress.

HT Mini Golf will initially feature a 12-hole course with plans for potential expansion. The course will include a mix of flat surfaces and obstacle challenges. Griffith and his team, who have experience in carpentry through his lawn care business, will construct the course themselves.

“We’re going to start with 12 holes and see how that looks. I think we’ll end up adding more because I really believe this is going to take off,” he said.

In addition to mini golf, the facility will include a selection of arcade games, including racing simulators and claw machines, to appeal to both kids and adults.

Griffith said that until the school year ends, HT Mini Golf will likely operate from 4-8 p.m. on weekdays and from 12-8 p.m. on weekends. Pricing details have not yet been finalized.

The quick support from the community after a social media post about the venture has further fueled Griffith’s confidence in the project’s success.

“It makes me feel a whole lot more confident,” he said. “When you start a business, there’s always that fear of failure. I’ve had ups and downs with my lawn care business, but we’ve been able to build it up. Seeing the positive response to this already just reassures me that this will do really well.”
