A new docuseries that takes an unfiltered look at family conflict and healing is set to begin production this month in Hancock County. “Co-Parenting Court with Bill Gobin” will feature real-life custody and co-parenting cases, aiming to help parents recommit to their children’s well-being.
Produced by Goldenrod Film & Television, the series will follow real families as they work through high-stakes disputes involving toxic communication, power struggles, new partners, and parenting inconsistencies. The show is expected to begin airing in early 2026.
“This show isn’t about blame,” said creator and host Bill Gobin. “It’s about hard conversations that too many families avoid. If we’re serious about putting kids first, we need tools, boundaries, and sometimes a courtroom-sized wake-up call. That’s what this show delivers.”
According to a release, Goblin is a legal mediator and family counselor with decades of experience and leads each episode. The release said his approach is focused on accountability and child-first solutions, providing both structure and compassion.
The concept was developed by Gobin based on his own experience navigating high-conflict family dynamics.
“This isn’t just a courtroom drama — it’s a social intervention,” said producer Jeremy Winton. “We’re giving viewers a front-row seat to something incredibly raw and necessary: parents being challenged to grow, for their kids.”
Producer Kristi Kilday added, “You feel the stakes in every episode. The families are vulnerable. The outcomes are real. And Bill has a rare gift for guiding people through their own resistance toward something better.”
Filming on location in Hancock County, the show is expected to highlight the emotional intensity and real-world consequences of parenting disputes while also showcasing the local community.
“We’re excited to welcome this production to Hancock County,” said Judge-Executive Johnny Roberts. “We want others to know what we already know, that Hancock County is a great place to live, work, or even visit. We are continuing to look at opportunities that showcase our community.”
