Touch-A-Truck rolls into Panther Creek Park this Saturday with food, fun, and flashing lights

Families can hop into the driver’s seat of fire engines and buses, check out towering cranes and tractors, and even step inside a helicopter or hovercraft during Touch-A-Truck 2025, taking place this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Panther Creek Park.

Hosted by Visit Owensboro and Daviess County Parks & Recreation, the annual event offers kids a chance to explore a wide variety of vehicles and heavy equipment from more than two dozen public safety agencies, utility companies, and community organizations.

Children are encouraged to climb into the driver’s seat, sound the horns, and take photos with first responders and professionals from across the region. Participating agencies include:

Food trucks will be on site to keep families fueled throughout the afternoon. Vendors include J’s Good Grub, Kona Ice of Owensboro, Firehouse 29 BBQ & More, and Curbside Kitchenette. DJ entertainment will be provided by Songbird DJ Service.

Participating organizations include the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, Kentucky State Police, Daviess County Fire Department, Air Evac Lifeteam, Hinkle Contracting, Republic Services, Sterett Crane, Daviess County Search & Rescue Team, and many others.
