The Junior League of Owensboro is bringing back a popular fashion event with a purpose. A Lele Sadoughi pop-up will be held this Saturday, with a portion of proceeds benefiting the League’s Free Laundry Day initiative.
The event will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Julep Home and Gift, located at 2738 Frederica Street.
Organizers said the designer, known for handmade statement headbands and accessories, is sending exclusive fascinators and “one-of-a-kind” Derby hats from her Dallas store specifically for the Owensboro event.
“This event is very special to me,” said Bailey Akers, Executive Vice President of the local Junior League chapter. “I am close with the ladies at Lele Sadoughi, and it’s an honor to bring such an exquisite brand to Owensboro and support the Junior League’s work at the same time.”
Nashville store manager Claire Corbett said they are “thrilled to bring this event back to Owensboro.”
Elizabeth Wilson, owner of Julep and former Junior League member, added, “Our customers will love their beautiful accessories, and we’re proud that each sale will support the Junior League’s important work in our community.”
The same day, the Junior League will host a Summer Laundry Day at AC Discount Laundry (801 Time Drive) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The League plans to continue offering Laundry Days monthly from August through May.
“It’s such an amazing opportunity to work with both Claire and Elizabeth,” Akers said. “It’s all a dream come true. And to have this event support the Junior League’s community impact is icing on the cake.”
