The 39th Annual Grant G. Talbott, III Memorial Run is set for November 1. The event is open to runners and walkers of all ages and supports scholarships and student services at Owensboro Community & Technical College. With a $250 cash drawing and door prizes, plus age-division awards, the race offers both competition and community spirit.
Race day registration opens at 7:30 a.m. at OCTC’s Main Campus (4800 New Hartford Road), with complimentary shuttles to the start line at Legion Park. The 5K begins at 9 a.m., follows Veach Road, and finishes back on OCTC’s campus.
Proceeds support the Grant G. Talbott Scholarship and other student resources. Talbott served as an OCTC counselor for 10 years and coordinated the road race from 1998 to 2007, and this event continues to honor his dedication to student success.
