Crazy Me Gifts & Apparel is kicking off the Christmas season in a big way this year — hosting not one, but three consecutive open house events featuring special guests, giveaways, and holiday sales.

Owner Donna Southard said the first open house is set for November 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the store, with plenty of surprises and festive activities.

“We had so many fun and exciting things to share that we decided to stretch it across three weekends,” Southard said. “Every event will be amazing, with sales, giveaways, snacks, and more.”

The opening event will feature Channing with Baxter & Me, an artist from Mississippi whose personalized ornaments and home décor pieces have been popular with customers for nearly a decade, according to Southard. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., she’ll be on-site signing items and creating exclusive personalized ornaments.

“She does door hangers, flags, door mats, and canvases — but this time she’s doing personalized ornaments right here at Crazy Me,” Southard said. “This is her second visit to the store, and we’re really excited to welcome her back.”

The series continues with a second event on November 8, when Dee’s Ribbon Truck will be at the shop creating custom bows and wreaths on the spot for trees and other holiday decorations.

Finally, on November 15, Crazy Me will host local artist Corey Ziemer, known for his “Heart & Soul Designs.” Southard said Ziemer has developed a loyal following for his distinctive artwork.

“We’ve carried his work for years, and we’re so proud to feature him,” she said. “We really try to make these events special. It’s kind of our way of going a little crazy for the holidays.”

Each open house will include major sales, with tent items marked 50-70% off, a prize wheel where every purchase wins a gift, and other holiday-themed surprises.

All events will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Crazy Me Gifts & Apparel, located at 235 East 20th Street in Owensboro. Shoppers are encouraged to follow Crazy Me on Facebook for updates, sneak peeks, and additional details about each event.

“We’re excited to see all of our amazing customers and want to thank them for shopping local this holiday season,” Southard said.
