Kentucky Wesleyan College has expanded its Master of Business Administration program with five new specializations aimed at high-growth and emerging industries. The new MBA tracks focus on artificial intelligence, business analytics, cybersecurity, finance, and healthcare administration.

All five specializations are housed within Kentucky Wesleyan’s existing MBA structure, allowing students to complete the program in 12 months with 30 credit hours.

College leaders said the expansion reflects ongoing changes in the workforce and increasing demand for professionals with both technical expertise and leadership skills.

“The job market has fundamentally shifted,” said Dr. Stephen Germic, provost at Kentucky Wesleyan College. “These specializations reflect our commitment to preparing graduates who can lead with both technical expertise and the integrity, empathy, and ethical grounding that define the Wesleyan Way.”

According to the college, demand for qualified professionals in each of the five areas continues to outpace supply nationally. The specializations were developed in partnership with Rize Education and are designed to align with current and projected workforce needs.

Students pursuing the artificial intelligence specialization will focus on leading AI adoption and innovation strategies, while the business analytics track emphasizes data-driven decision making. The cybersecurity specialization centers on protecting organizations from evolving digital threats, and the finance track focuses on investment and corporate financial strategy. The healthcare administration specialization is designed to prepare graduates to manage and lead within medical and healthcare organizations.

The new offerings build on Kentucky Wesleyan’s core MBA curriculum, which includes coursework in organizational behavior, managerial accounting, leadership, business ethics, and strategic decision making.

“Our new MBA specializations were designed by industry leaders and academic experts to reflect where business is heading,” said Dr. Rohnn Sanderson, director of the MBA program and professor of economics. “These programs prepare students to lead in AI-driven, data-rich environments while upholding the values that define Kentucky Wesleyan College graduates.”

Kentucky Wesleyan officials said the expanded MBA program is intended to serve both recent graduates and working professionals seeking career advancement in traditional and emerging sectors.

Applications for the new MBA specializations are now being accepted. More information about the program and admission requirements is available at kwc.edu/mba or by contacting Sanderson at [email protected] or 270-852-3198.
