Teen Week offers a full slate of activities designed to empower local teens through hands-on learning, career exploration, and real-world preparation.

The Owensboro Youth Empowerment Summit will host Teen Week 2026 from March 9-11, offering a series of free events aimed at helping teens prepare for employment, financial responsibility, and real-world success.

Founded in 2007, the Summit focuses on leadership development, career readiness, and life skills. Organizers say Teen Week has grown into a trusted community tradition, connecting local youth with employers, volunteers, and educational resources.

The week will begin with a Teen Resume & Interview Workshop from 4-6 p.m. on March 9. The interactive session will help teens build or improve resumes, practice interview skills, and gain confidence through mock interviews. Volunteers are needed to assist with mock interviews and provide real-world feedback.

A Teen Job Fair will follow from 4-6 p.m. on March 10. Local employers will meet directly with teens seeking part-time, summer, and entry-level job opportunities. Employers interested in participating can contact DeMarcus Curry at [email protected] for more information.

Teen Week will conclude with a Teen Financial Workshop from 4-6 p.m. on March 11. The session will focus on financial literacy topics such as budgeting, saving, understanding paychecks, and preparing for financial independence. Registration is required for the financial workshop.

All Teen Week events are open to middle and high school students and are designed to provide practical skills teens can use immediately.

Additional details, updates, and registration information are available at Facebook.com/OYES2007.
