Glenn Funeral Home will host a special edition of its Give & Go series later this month, inviting the community to a car show to support a local nonprofit serving children in foster care.

The Glenn’s Give & Go Car Show is scheduled for April 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the funeral home’s parking lot at 900 Old Hartford Road. Admission is free, though donations will be accepted to benefit Borrowed Hearts of Owensboro.

Borrowed Hearts provides clothing, shoes, and essential items to children in foster care, helping ease financial burdens on foster families. The organization also operates the Agape House, a temporary home where children can shower, do laundry, eat a warm meal, and rest comfortably while awaiting placement.

Event organizers encourage attendees to bring donations, though contributions are not required. Items most needed include hygiene products such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, and deodorant; bath and body products; pajamas; cleaning supplies; socks and underwear in all sizes; gift cards; and new standard bed pillows.

The car show is expected to feature more than 50 vehicles from several local car clubs, including the Sunset Cruisers, SirBrit, Corvette Lover’s Vette Club of Owensboro, and the Crazy Horse Mustang Club. Food trucks will also be on site.

Shaylee Leonard, Miss Heart of the Commonwealth’s Teen 2026 and a senior at Daviess County High School, is also scheduled to attend. Leonard will compete for Miss Kentucky’s Teen in June.

Organizers said the event continues the Give & Go series’ focus on community engagement and giving back, offering a family-friendly opportunity to support a local cause while enjoying a showcase of classic and specialty vehicles.
