Mitch Settle, managing director and financial advisor at Baird Private Wealth Management, has been named to the 2026 Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Advisors list.

The recognition reflects Settle’s more than 40-year career serving families, business owners, and institutions across Kentucky. His practice has focused on long-term financial planning, transparency, and relationship-based advising.

Settle began his career in 1986 at Hilliard Lyons alongside his father, Roy Settle. Their approach to client service helped establish what is now The Settle Group at Baird, where he serves as managing director. He was previously a member of the Hilliard Lyons CEO Council, which recognized top-performing advisors prior to the firm’s merger with Baird.

“The work we do is about people first,” Settle said. “This recognition reflects the trust our clients place in us and the strength of the team that supports them every day.”

Settle leads a multigenerational team providing financial planning, retirement and legacy strategies, and institutional consulting.

A graduate of Kentucky Wesleyan College, Settle served on the college’s Board of Trustees for more than 30 years and now holds the title of trustee emeritus. He also serves as chairman of The George Greenwell Charitable Foundation and supports several local and regional organizations.

The Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Advisors list recognizes advisors based on factors including client service, industry experience, and professional practices. Additional information about the methodology is available at forbes.com.
