Seven farm markets in Daviess County have been accepted into the 2026 Kentucky Farm Bureau Certified Farm Market Program, recognizing their commitment to quality, freshness, and customer service.
The certified markets include Burley’s Harvest Market, The Cottage Farm Stand and Baking Co., Hill View Farms Meats LLC, Redeemed Heritage Farm, Reid’s Orchard, Trunnell’s Farm Market, and Trunnell’s Farm Market & Gourmet Deli On 54.
As members of the program, each market meets standards for product quality, cleanliness, and marketing appeal while promoting locally grown products.
“Kentucky Farm Bureau’s Certified Farm Market program is a direct link between the farm families who grow our food and the neighbors who depend on them,” said Eddie Melton, president of Kentucky Farm Bureau. “The certification gives these markets the recognition they deserve, and it gives consumers a trusted signal that what they’re buying was grown with care right here in Kentucky.”
The participating markets offer a wide range of products, including locally raised meats, seasonal fruits and vegetables, baked goods, canned items, and specialty products. Several also feature agritourism experiences such as u-pick produce, fall festivals, and family activities.
The Certified Farm Market Program, now in its 31st year, connects consumers with Kentucky-grown products while supporting farm families through collective advertising, promotional opportunities, and educational initiatives.
Certified markets are listed in an online directory and featured in promotional materials distributed at welcome centers, state parks, chambers of commerce, and county Farm Bureau offices. Consumers can also access the directory through the Kentucky Farm Bureau website or mobile app.
