Boulware Mission’s annual Dancing With Our Stars Owensboro Style fundraiser will return this August with a new competition element while continuing to raise money for the organization’s recovery and treatment programs.
Presented by Cargill, the event is scheduled for August 8 at the RiverPark Center.
The fundraiser pairs local community leaders, professionals, and other familiar faces with dance instructors for an evening of performances and fundraising benefiting Boulware Mission.
Returning this year is choreography and instruction from LeAnne Musick and the team from Musick Studios.
New for 2026, organizers are adding a Talent Division that will allow attendees to vote in real time for their favorite performances throughout the evening.
Organizers have not yet announced this year’s participants, though they said the lineup will be revealed next week. They also teased a new event theme and additional surprises for attendees.
“This year, we’re taking Dancing With Our Stars on a wild adventure,” organizers said in a news release. “From the new Talent Division to the overall event experience, guests can expect surprises around every corner.”
Proceeds from ticket sales, audience voting, sponsorships, and other fundraising efforts will support Boulware Mission and its programs serving men recovering from substance use and mental health disorders.
Founded more than a century ago, Boulware Mission provides treatment, education, and recovery housing aimed at helping participants achieve long-term self-sufficiency.
