Sam Boyd is a nationally certified groomer who has groomed in Owensboro for the last three years. Boyd recently went into business for himself at the beginning of this year as The Pet Manny, LLC.
Boyd, who has been running his business from his Philpot location, will soon be offering a new location on Frederica St.
“We have leased the old Edge Body Boot Camp space next to Big Lots and the Dollar Tree on Frederica St.,” Boyd said. “We will have indoor and outdoor daycare and grooming from that location and boarding from our home location in Philpot.”
While Boyd is pleased with the 2300 square foot boarding area the Philpot location offers, he believes it is important to “be more accessible to a bigger clientele.”
Boyd anticipates the new location opening on Monday, Nov. 5, but is currently taking appointments in anticipation of the busyness of the holiday season.
