Another large business in Owensboro will be packing up and relocating in the very near future.
Big Lots will be relocating from their current location at 4010 Frederica St. to the former Hobby Lobby location at 4610 Frederica St., located in the Towne Square North plaza.
Manager Teresa Hudson confirmed that Big Lots will relocate this summer. Hudson said she is proud of the company’s choice to relocate at a local level and, even more, to soon be one of Big Lots’ new store formats, which means more space and more of a food focus according to retail chain’s website.
“We’ll be one of the ‘Stores of the Future,’” Hudson said. “Corporate is making a lot of the stores bigger, newer and nicer.”
Hudson said she can’t reveal too many details about the plans for her local store until she’s gotten the go-ahead from corporate, but Hudson did say she’s excited for what the future holds.
