As of Friday, Nation’s Medicines on Highway 54 has relocated their services to the Marathon gas station located at 2910 Hwy. 54. Due to renovations and significant expansion at their 3000 Alvey Park Dr. location, the locally-owned pharmacy said this relocation could last for as long as three to five months.

The Marathon gas station has hosted other businesses in the past, such as South Central Bank, so Marathon was comfortable having Nation’s Medicines relocate there, according to Kara Drury, director of marketing at All Care Equipment and Rentals, a second business owned by Nation’s Medicines owners Carl and Kim Lewis.

Nation’s Medicines will still provide quality service to their customers during this transition, Drury said.

“There’s walk-in service available and drive-thru service,” Drury said. “We still offer complimentary delivery services for our customers.”

Drury said the decision to relocate was made quickly, and that the pharmacy notified their customers of the changes through a couple of different methods.

“As customers call in, we’ll let them know over the phone,” Drury said. “We also put signage on the doors at the other location.”

Nation’s Medicines will be expanding quite a bit during this renovation period. Drury said the storefront will face west in the future. A larger parking lot will be fully constructed. Moreover, the pharmacy will be attached to All Care Equipment in a strip-mall-like layout. All Care is currently located in Highway 54’s Paradise Plaza.

“We’re super excited that both stores will be right next to each other,” Drury said.
