With state-of-the-art car washes opening all across Owensboro, Sparkle Brite Car Wash is sticking to their roots. The business, which has been in Owensboro for almost 40 years, stands out from the competition with their old-school method of hand washing and drying cars.

Owners Jason and Angie Curry, Sean and Jennifer Byrne, and Mark and Leanne Riney have owned the business in Wesleyan Park Plaza since 2017 and also own Cricket’s Car Wash on Parrish Avenue.

While they have a full-service car wash, complete with a full-tunnel wash, detailing, touch-free wash, they will also wash and dry the car by hand.

Their full-service car wash goes beyond simply washing vehicles. The business offers old-fashioned customer service combined with state-of-the-art technology to provide the ultimate car wash experience, according to the owners.

“We are the best wash in town and the only wash that has employees hand dry and vacuum the cars,” Jason Curry said. “We have a loyal following and we are excited about the future.”

Jason said the car wash provides 12 full-time jobs and provides a full-service, high-quality car wash.

The company also supports the local community by donating to sports teams and other various organizations.

“We are local owners, we all grew up in the area and support Owensboro and the surrounding area,” Jason said. “We buy local and we sell local.”

The owners say their attention to detail is what keeps customers coming back for repeat business.

They also offer monthly unlimited wash packages — wash as often as you’d like for a one-time monthly price. Sparkle Brite uses eco-friendly products to help keep cars looking their best.

Jason said they also offer fleet accounts for local car dealers.

“Small business is what drives our communities,” he said. “We take pride in supporting our local community.”
