Bella Ragazza Boutique announced on social media Saturday that they will be relocating from their downtown location to Wesleyan Park Plaza.

For Bella Ragazza owner Natasha Stanley, the move is all about more space.

“We have grown so much in six years,” she said.

The current Bella Ragazza location offers Stanley 1,600 square feet, but the new location at 2684 Frederica Street — the former Radio Shack — will provide 2,200 square feet and additional parking.

Stanley said the success of her online store, which was launched in the fall of last year, has created an issue with space in her current space.

“Yesterday we were shipping off the top of a filing cabinet with a computer in the window sill,” she said.

Stanley said she also wants to grow her “Generations of Bella” campaign, where the boutique offers clothing styles to women of all ages. More style options meant more space, Stanley said.

Developers of Wesleyan Park Plaza are working with Stanley to renovate the store to fit her needs, creating more fitting rooms and a larger check out area.

The boutique owner said she is excited to be a part of Wesleyan Park Plaza, where developers are bringing new life into the once dated and empty shopping center. Bella Ragazza will join the shopping center’s newest business Shoe Stop which opened its location Saturday.

Stanley said she is honored to join newly relocated Shoe Stop, Glass Factory and Kidstop, but also neighbors like The Earle and Excursions, which she called pioneers of the center.

But Stanley said she will miss her downtown neighbors and the home she built for her business on West Second Street.

“When I made the decision to move, I had no reservations. I had a gut feeling that it was the right thing to do,” Stanley said. “But I have always loved our downtown Owensboro location and our neighbors. Downtown paved the way for Bella.”

Stanley said customers can expect the grand opening of her new store sometime in August, but an exact date has not been set. When she releases the expected opening day, she will also reveal a new look and logo for her boutique.

“Customers can expect a totally different look from before,” she said. “But we will still have the same great style, staff and service.”
