Pet Supplies Plus officially welcomed customers Wednesday during their soft opening, while a more formal celebration is planned next month. The store is located in Gateway Commons on the east side of Owensboro.
The business offers nearly everything small-pet related, with a wide variety of brands. Grooming services are also available.
Hours for the Owensboro location will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
A grand opening is scheduled for Dec. 12-13 and store officials said there will be giveaways, including a year’s worth of Purina dog or cat food.
Owensboro native Arretta Nave will serve as store manager. The owners wished to remain anonymous at this time but are former Daviess County residents “wanting to invest back in the community.”
“Our goal is to be the neighborhood’s favorite destination to buy food and supplies for their pets,” the owner said. “We want to get involved in the neighborhood. The goal is to know the people in the community and their pets.”
