IDK Family Restaurant located in Owensboro will close its doors for good Feb. 27, according to a statement on social media.
The location in Powderly will remain open.
Owensboro’s location of the buffet restaurant opened in February of 2019.
A Facebook post made Saturday afternoon reads, “Good evening friends! So we have been going back and forth and our owners have had several meetings trying to decide which direction to go with idk in Owensboro. As you all know covid has been really hard on a lot of business. We have decided that unfortunately we will be closing our Owensboro location permanently. February 27th will be our last operating day. If you have gift cards etc you will be able to use them at our other location in Powderly Kentucky if you are not able to make it in next week. We would like to say thank you to all of our friends that we have had the pleasure of getting to know in the last couple of years in Owensboro. It has been awesome serving this community and we will miss all of you guys. We do hope you all are able to make it out next week and see us so we can have a chance to say goodbye! We consider a lot of you guys more then customers, but instead friends!! Thank you for your support! We appreciate your business! May God Bless!!!”
