Buff City Soap is opening a local Soap Makery in Owensboro this May. It will be located at 2596 Calumet Trace Suite 2 in Gateway Commons next to Chicken Salad Chick.
“We are opening stores within the Western Kentucky area and knew Owensboro is a thriving city with a strong regional pull so we can reach customers in surrounding counties,” said Alexa Bacon, Senior Marketing Manager with Buff City Soap. “We chose Calumet Trace because it’s a developing section of Owensboro with many surrounding stores and businesses are moving into the area. We’re excited to become a part of the Owensboro community.”
Bacon said Buff City is a plant-based soap and skincare company that hand-makes bath and body products such soap, bath bombs, laundry soap and more.
Buff City products are made fresh in each Soap Makery daily, and customers can watch as the products on the shelves are made. Customers can customize any soap product with any of Buff City’s 30+ signature scents.
According to the FAQ section of their website, “We use only the finest ingredients that we can find. There are absolutely no surfactants, detergents, or preservatives in any Buff City products. Some items found naturally may contain contaminants from the environment so a man-made version is used for purity and safety.”
According to Buff City’s website for the upcoming Owensboro location, hours will be 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday-Saturday, and 12-6 p.m. Sunday.
