Jacinta Smith wants to make one thing clear — she is not closing The Willow Tree.

The owner of the gift store said while she is putting the business, and the home, up for sale, she is not closing until she finds the right buyer.

“I am in no hurry to sell,” she said. “I have no timeline to sell. I have just turned 65 and am ready to think about someday moving on.”

The business, which is in the lower half of the home she lives in, has been her joy for more than 27 years.

Smith said there is 2,641 square feet of living space upstairs and 2,142 square feet of store, along with 714 square feet of garage/greenhouse.

“I have always said I will probably die here and they will have to carry me out because this is my home, but now I would like a change,” Smith said. “The right buyer has to come along or I will just keep on as I have for the past 27 years.”

So for now, she plans to keep on with the store. She is already planning for the 2021 holiday season and is excited for what’s to come.

“I love this business,” Smith said. “I am hoping someone will come in and love it as much as I do. I have made so many friends and I call a lot of them family.”
