Pose Selfie Museum

Owensboro is welcoming a pair of “selfie museums” this year. While one is expected to open in July, entrepreneurs Taylor Thurman and Baylee Hall — both 25 — are opening Pose Selfie Museum in a couple of months.

Thurman said they were both inspired by the selfie museums in larger cities such as Miami and Atlanta, and they wanted to bring their own vision to life in Owensboro.

Pose will be located at 1734 Sweeney Street.

“We are excited to bring a space here in town that really gives visitors the opportunity to be creative and have fun,” Thurman said. “The concept of our selfie museum is to have a space where visitors can take photos of themselves with a variety of themes and settings. Each space will be different and allow visitors to have fun and be creative.”

Thurman said Pose will have an assortment of props and professional lighting that will allow visitors to take great photos and create long-lasting memories.

“We will also be available to assist with taking photos of visitors,” she said. “We will change the backgrounds every so often to keep things fun and exciting for our visitors.”

The duo is planning to open Pose in late August or early September, depending how soon the renovations get finished.

“We want to make sure we take our time ensuring everything in our vision comes to life and to really give the community something special,” Thurman said.

Prices will be $25 a ticket for one hour, and children 3 and under will be admitted free.
