The downtown location of Ben’s Soft Pretzels has closed permanently, less than five months after they moved into at 112 Allen Street (formerly home to old Cold Stone Creamery).
Officials told Owensboro Times that the location had been closed for some time; however, they still are open in their Meijer location. OT was unable to get further comment.
The downtown location opened in June 2021, with owner Ron Williams saying at the time they were hoping to reach a new crowd of customers.
Williams has also owned Ben’s Soft Pretzels located inside the Owensboro Meijer for about 4 years, and he bought a mobile food trailer in the summer of 2020.
