With the holiday season quickly approaching, local businesses are showcasing their products and services with open houses this weekend and next. Our Hometown Holiday Open House is a guide for shoppers to know when to visit their favorite local stores, or check out a new one. We’ve divided the guide into four sections: Downtown, Eastside, Westside and Midtown.

Jacinta Smith, owner of Willow Tree, said she appreciates the opportunity to let the customers see what the store has available.
“It’s always important to shop local,” she said. “Shipping is held up this year so we all need to be patient.”
Larry Myles, owner of Be Real Sports, also uses the Open House as a chance to reach out to the community and be more visible.
“We are passionate about cycling, health and fitness and continue to share this passion with our customers,” he said. “Visibility and growing bicycle riding for individuals and families of all ages and levels is our focus.”
He also said he values local customers, and shopping local helps ensure a personal touch.
“Support from our community is vital for all small businesses to strive, grow and continue to be in business,” he said. “We continue to receive and grow our inventory daily. We will work with our supplies to find the right product that you are looking for.”
