Ace Hardware Marketplace will soon be opening on the west side of Owensboro. Signage can already be seen on the front of the store, which is located at 2419 W. Parrish Avenue across from Subway.
Ace Hardware Marketplace is a chain retailer stocking household tools, supplies, and more. Company officials did not return a call for more information.
The first building permit for the location was issued April 30 for an 11,159 square foot foundation, with a construction cost of $60,000. A permit for construction of the actual building was issued June 4, with a construction cost of $690,000. A permit for a $9,000 sign on the building was issued Aug. 17, and a permit for a $17,000 yard sign was issued Sept. 28.
There are 17 other Ace Hardware Marketplace locations in Kentucky.
